Sa Muntanya Artist Residency
Valldemossa, Mallorca
Sa Muntanya Artist Residency invites two international artists to spend one month living and working in a traditional stone house overlooking the village of Valldemossa, in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains of Mallorca.
Hosted by artist Concha Vidal, the residency offers time and space for artistic research within a quiet domestic and natural environment.
The house is surrounded by forest and more than 7,000 m² of land, with open views over the valley and the historic village. The landscape, the slow rhythm of the place and the shared atmosphere of the house form an essential part of the experience.
Rather than a studio-based institutional residency, Sa Muntanya proposes a temporary artistic community in which artists live, work and exchange ideas in close proximity to the landscape.

Participants
2 artists will be selected.
Artists working in any discipline are welcome, particularly those interested in research, landscape, process-based practice and dialogue.

Fee
2000 € per artist / month
The fee covers participation in the residency programme and accommodation during the residency period.
It does not include travel, food or materials.

About the host
Concha Vidal is a visual artist and Doctor in Fine Arts. Her work explores landscape, time and artistic research through video and interdisciplinary practices.

En el paisaje de la Serra de Tramuntana, sobre el pueblo de Valldemossa, la artista Concha Vidal abre este espacio único y su entorno de trabajo para acoger a dos artistas internacionales durante un mes de investigación y creación.
La residencia se sitúa en una propiedad rodeada de bosque y más de 7.000 m² de terreno, con una vista abierta sobre el valle y el pueblo. El lugar invita a un ritmo de trabajo lento, concentrado y en diálogo con el paisaje.
Este programa no está concebido como turismo creativo, sino como un tiempo real de proceso artístico, convivencia y conversación crítica.
Los artistas seleccionados compartirán la experiencia de vivir y trabajar en este entorno singular, con la posibilidad de mantener encuentros y conversaciones sobre sus procesos con Concha Vidal, artista y doctora en Bellas Artes.

Se buscan artistas interesados en procesos de investigación, práctica contemporánea y relación con el territorio.
